Encaustic is an ancient art form utilizing beeswax & heat to create layered, gauzy, beautiful art pieces that last a lifetime. Sealed with resin to a hardened finish, encaustic pieces are durable & can be mounted anywhere indoors, although non-direct sunlight is best. This triptych piece finished in brilliant rose gold pigment allows for varied display configurations, including horizontal, vertical, together, or separate. Edges are finished in a rich mahogany and the wax edge is left natural creating a subtle waterfall effect off the side of the piece.
